Founded by trauma survivors, for trauma survivors

The Global Trauma Institute (GTI) stands as a pioneering organization founded by trauma survivors, for trauma survivors, dedicated to revolutionizing trauma education through a decolonized, culturally responsive approach.

Recognizing that traditional Western-centric models of trauma care often overlook the unique experiences of marginalized communities and can reinforce harmful power dynamics between providers and survivors, GTI is committed to challenging these established structures by promoting cultural humility, peer-to-peer dynamics, and client-led practices.
