Megan Renee Backus
she/her
Certified Trauma Care Practitioner
I'm a massage therapist, and I often see underlying emotional trauma behind my clients' chronic pain conditions. I started my coaching training with one year of Gabor Mate's Compassionate Inquiry, followed by two coaching classes with an IFS slant, and then IFS Level 1 before I found the GTI as my coaching "home." I'm currently pursuing IFS certification and my sessions are IFS oriented, but not dogmatic. I like to think of them as a shamanic journey to rescue and give hope to your inner children. And yet sessions are very client-led. I give my clients my full attention for a one-hour session by Zoom and charge a sliding scale. For an in-depth view of my coaching approach, see my blog: https://www.mbodimentmassage.com/blog

Our sense of loss, pain and grief are often misunderstood and overlooked by society and our families. As an NPE and CTCP I have unique skills and knowledge to provide a safe space to help you understand your trauma. Using humor, compassion, and education we’ll find healing in your story, and let the light shine in again.
